I have been allowed 5 minutes on the computer at last!

Well it is really turning out to be difficult to find the time to blog and paint. I don't know how everyone else does it. The Christmas shopping is all done at last and my grandchildren are coming to stay next week. They particularly like to use my watercolour pencils and crayons for the magic paint effect. I am sure they are both budding artists.
I have attempted my first watercolour of a puss. It belongs to my son's girlfriend. Hope she likes it. Still needs some finishing touches. I wish I had made it smaller and made the background less defined.
Happy Christmas to anyone who might read this and bye for now.

Thanks for emailing blog address. Love pussy - colour and size. I dont dislike the fact that she fills the page - its probably her character of being in charge at home!! Big and bold.

I too have three grand daughters now aged 17, 10 and 8. The two youngest at every visit go to my study/artroom and I get out the paints and lots of imperial sheets of cheap paper and they just produce the most incredible works either in watercolour and more recently allowed them the acrylic pots. Arent I brave - to date they have been very good with no major spills.

Joan, I am glad you found me. Just bought my grandchildren huge pots of poster paints - not quite so dangerous as acrylic. Also lining paper which is a good economical drawing/painting alternative. I think Caroline liked her cat - at least she said she did. Happy new year to you and yours.
